Hello, folks!

I'm a multi-disciplinary designer driven to create experiences and solve problems that are easy on the eyes and simple to use...at least in theory.

By the way, I'm currently contracting at Microsoft on the Xbox Loyalty team, but casually looking for a full-time remote position during the meantime. If you're interested in discussing new opportunities, please hit me up via email or LinkedIn.

Please pardon the mess. My site is a work-in-progress as I'm leisurely redesigning it. Thanks!

TMI...or just being transparent

I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades-and-a-master-of-some; sort of like a design mercenary who just gets stuff done and in the right hands...a kingmaker. I’m primarily self-taught and able to quickly adapt and solve problems based on my decades of experience in some really challenging environments.

I started my career as a freelance web designer and front-end coder mostly in the marketing space in New York City after high school during my gap year. Dropped out art school during my freshman after being recruited to work as a full-time employee at an award winning design studio. Later, I mostly went freelance with a couple stints at a couple startups.

Several years later, I moved to the Pacific Northwest where I started to naturally shift into product design.

Today, I'm looking to evolve into a product architect role where I can make the bigger picture a reality.

My process is very simple; I listen to what is said and sometimes isn't to understand the desired outcome for both the business and their customers. I look at every product through the lens of business, experience, and technology. Being a good product designer requires a balance or the right compromises, working with the team to synthesis the optimal path for reaching that outcome.

I do think in systems, where I learn and understand how an ecosystem works in a product sense, but capable of helping evolve and knowing when to break the rules when necessary without being overly disruptive.

I'm also capable of spinning on a dime when the business decides to change directions, but that's probably due to my nature...

For transparency, you should know that I've discovered that I'm neurodivergent a few years ago. Don’t let that scare you as it has been largely a gift in disguise.

The best parts:

As for the worst parts:

The only realy accommodation I ask is a flexible work schedule. I've been able to manage my condition by spreading my work throughout the whole day for moments to recharge; it would look like I'm working super long days——I'm really not. Although, don't be surprised that I may be sending emails in the middle of the night. And, I do get my work done, if I wasn't capable of that, then I wouldn't have had career this long as a designer.
