Whim W'him——short for Whim with Him——is a non-profit contemporary dance company in Seattle founded by retired danseur Olivier Wevers of Pacific Nortwest Ballet. They wanted to redesign their website to reflect their mission of nurturing artists to explore the human condition through modern dance.
Setting the Mood
The inspiration for the site was based on movement with the application of assymetical layouts and splashes of color pulled from their costuming and use of lighting during their performances.
One of the beautiful aspects with working with this dance company was that they had a lot of support of the local art community. Photography on this site was provided by a patron photographer.

Each background was handcrafted so that it interweaved the subjects with the content making it feel dynamic everytime they made a big announcement.
