As a collaboration with the Microsoft Edge, Microsoft News, Bing, and Xbox teams, we were interested exploring what a personalized default home page for gaming would be like in Microsoft Edge.
Objective: New Tab Page for Gaming
This envisioning project looked at aggregating Microsoft services into a personalized content feed—–Microsoft News, Microsoft Rewards, Windows Store, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Live—with potential to integrate external services like Discord, Epic Games Store, Steam, and Twitch.
Personalization
The key to this experience was designed around the reliance on machine learning and AI to personalize a user's feed.
Custom Identity Control
With a custom experience, this exploration demonstrates what a contextual identity control could look like——merging your Microsoft Account with Microsoft Rewards and Xbox Accounts in a quick view.
Browser Themes
As part of the gaming experience, we wanted to give the fandom options to customize their browser.
Card Inventory
As an extention to the Microsoft News framework, a new series of cards were designed to support new functionality coming from the Microsoft ecosystem.
